Advanced Page Properties

From Page Properties you can define the appearance and access to the current page. Here you can set the page title, URL, encoding, number of columns as well as restrict the access to this page. To open Page Properties enter Admin View of your site, go to the page whose properties you wish to update and roll over the Control Panel () icon in the top right corner. Select Page Properties from the menu.

To change the page title, just fill in the new title in the Page Title field and press Update. On the next publish your new title will become visible for the visitors.

You can restrict the access to this page by password,
mailing list membership, or both. To do so, click on Show Options for the Access Control section.

In the Password field define the password or leave it blank for none. From the Allow only for members of dropdown select the mailing list whose members you wish to have access to this page. If you don't have a mailing list, you can create one following this tutorial. After you press Update and publish the changes only visitors who know the password and/or are members of the selected mailing list will be able to access this page.

To change the page name, URL, encoding, columns and page notification list you need to open the Special Features sections by clicking on Show Options next to it.

In the Page Name fill in the name of the page as you want it to appear in Manage Pages and all Link dropdowns in Admin View. If you don't specify a Page Name the text filed as Page Title will be used as page name too and you can change it anytime.

In the Page URL set the URL of the page as you want it to be visible in the address bar of the browser. Keeping content-related URLs helps search engines find the right content on your web site.

In Notify by email on publish you can choose a mailing list whose members will be notified every time you publish this page.

If you need to post content in a different language, you can select different encoding for this page from the Encoding dropdown.

You have flexible control over the page layout by defining the number of Text Columns the page should have. From the dropdown you can also select the distribution (in percents) of the space among the columns. If more than one column has been selected the Distance b/n Columns becomes editable and you can specify the number of pixels distance between columns.
